side crunches.
Lay on the floor on your side with one arm laying flat on the floor legs straight and body straight as well. Then with you tummy, lift your body up ward like you’re doing a crunch, except a sideways crunch.
Also, in that same position, lift your top leg up 6 inches off of your base leg…it’ll look like this figuratively speaking….:
you’ll start like this…. = (legs together but still laying on your side)
and you will lift like…. > (with base leg still on ground, lift the leg closest to the ceiling up 6 inches off of the leg that is still on the floor)

I do not think that you have anything to worry about. At this age, it is very natural for your body to put on weight and then take it back off again. Your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes as it grows and develops, and it does not always happen as you would like. Sometimes our feet get big before we grow taller, or our buts develop before our busts. As long as you are eating healthy and exercising regularly, you should just let time take care of those love handles.

make sure you work off more than you consume. try running or swimming.
