What’s a good workout for love handles/lower abdomen?

They seem like really stubborn spots when it comes to toning up…I want my love handles gone, and my lower stomach to get flatter.
I’ve tried crunches, but they don’t seem to work for my stomach…
And I have no clue what excersizes to do for love handles…

Anyone have ideas???
